Government ‘clueless’ over crime

A former senior police chief has branded the government “clueless” on tackling law and order.

Ray Mallon, now the directly elected mayor of Middlesbrough, is calling for parents to be prosecuted for failing to keep their children under control.

His criticism comes as Tony Blair suggested potential troublemakers could be identified before they were born.
